Are you the hero of your own story?
I believe that telling our own story and listening to the stories of others forms the foundation of our collective identity, meaning and a sense of belonging.
In a world where we are exposed to different genders, races, sexualities, and religions, we often fear what we do not know, and stories might just be the bridge to restore our common humanity.
Author Andrew Solomon advocates forging meaning and building identity out of the worse moments in our lives.
Your biggest failures and problems can be — if you let them — your greatest drivers of growth, learning, and joy. Stories have the power to heal, to uplift, and to inspire action if we do it with courage, authenticity and compassion.
This is a hands-on workshop where you'll engage with people around you and be inspired by each other's stories of passion, perseverance and taking risks. Starting with introduction of Hero’s Journey, you’ll reflect, connect, then flow into creating your own Hero's Journey.
- Identify the most important events that shapes you who you are
- Identify the lessons and its significance in the benefit of hindsight
- Experience how story connects people through experiential activities
- Craft your own story and use your voice to create a positive impact
Why Hero's Journey?
Hero’s Journey is a storytelling template created by Joseph Campbell that distils the essence of all heroic tales across different cultures. We use Hero’s Journey as a tool to help you discover the significant events in your story.
Who should join?
Anyone who wants to master your personal narrative and explore your inner psyche.
